Hanna and BJ from Eagle Leather featured on ABC podcast!

The Victorian government is set to consider fully decriminalising sex work this year. In this PODCAST, guest producer Carly Godden traces how, over the eras, the law in Victoria has regulated the commercial sex and adult industries.

Hanna & BJ were excited to be invited to participate in this ABC podcast which talks about the ways the adult industry has changed in the last few decades as well as the ways in which the adult industry is often discriminated against both financially (for example, it's extremely difficult for legitimate and legal adult businesses to apply for loans in the same way another successful business might). It also discusses the unnecessary limitations which are imposed on the adult industry by those in positions of power such as lawmakers and politicians; whereby their personal beliefs and preconceptions can cause biased and over the top regulations and legal ramifications which infringe on our personal and professional freedoms.

The podcast also chats with other important industry figures including MP Fiona Patten (head of the Reason Party) and Jarryd Bartle from the Eros Foundation.

Big thanks to Carly for covering this important, rarely discussed (and we think quite unfair) added layer of complexity that comes with running an adult business in Australia. Worth a listen!
